Decipher what a word problem is asking. Understand and provide what the problem is asking.
Direct Instruction - Deep dive into interpreting what a problem, specifically word problems are asking students to provide. Instruction on using the given information to create the correct equation that would allow students to provide the correct solution. Emphasis being placed on the fact that the solution cannot be reached if the equation is not set up correctly.
Instruction also provided on finding the missing coordinate when given an ordered pair and the origin as two points of the line, and only the x or y value of a 3rd point.
