I've been teaching for 14 years, mostly in fourth and fifth grade. I taught at BFCS at the Mesa and Crismon campuses in the past, before spending 7 years teaching with a virtual school while I had little ones at home. I've been back here at Gilbert for the past couple years in fifth grade, which is my happy place! I love to teach and help students to learn and grow every day. I have a personal motto that I can do hard things and I know that together we can accomplish great things!
Outside of school, I love to read. I have a goal to read 40 books this year (not including reading to my kids or for school; just for me and just for fun!! So far, I've read 25! :) I also love all things food - growing it, cooking it, learning about it, eating it... When I'm not reading or cooking, I'm probably outside enjoying time with my family. We love to camp, swim, and hike together, and I also love to paddle board, ski, and scuba dive. All of my hobbies combine well with my love of exploring and traveling to new places. When in new places and countries, I love to try new foods, adventure outdoors, and experience all the amazing things our world has to offer.
My husband and I met at ASU, and we are both Arizona natives. We have three children; I love getting to see my kids around campus, as they are all students here at BFCS.
