Overview
Bowdoin is a college and also an idea—

0 Loans in our student aid packages. They’ve been replaced by grants since 2008.
At a small residential college, the big idea behind campus life is that you aren't just learning in the classroom. You're surrounded by new settings and different viewpoints. You're building habits that follow you into adulthood. You're creating that network of people who you'll lean on, and root for, for the rest of your life.
That's why campus life at Bowdoin encompasses so much. There are over 100 student organizations, club sports, and student government activities to get involved in.
But your life at Bowdoin goes beyond what's on your calendar—it integrates who you are. Comprehensive student-facing centers, like Multicultural Life, Sexuality, Women, and Gender, and Religious and Spiritual Life, help students better understand their own identities and the perspectives of those around them.
