Shearwater Cleaner Job Description
Sign-in using ipad and collect keys, be sure to 'sign out' you keys with your name tag.
Be aware of messages (for urgent communications) and emails (for general staff notices) from BCG account manager and office
Clean assigned areas as per the Room Manuals at https://bit.ly/shearwaterclean and to the best of your ability within the assigned time
If receiving a request from a teacher, please direct them to talk to the school's business manager Steve.
Try to resolve equipment maintenance issues yourself
If finished early (before 3-hour minimum shift): return to clean ‘deeper’ in some areas, find exterior cleaning to do or tidy the cleaning storage areas. You may not check out more than 10-15 minutes early without a reason.
Ensure all lights and fans are off, all doors and windows are locked
Report anything you were unable to complete in the assigned time and report why to the office
Report areas that need extra attention, but that you didn't have time to complete to the office
Report any problems you had during the shift to the office
Report maintenance issues and cleaning issues via the group chat

Do not perform a cleaning job if there is a hazard and you cannot safely reduce the risk to an acceptable level. Report cleaner-safety issues immediately to the office.
Leave the cleaning storage areas clean, tidy and organised for the next person.
Return all keys and sign-out using the ipad.
General Courtesies
Please try to stick to the shift time. If you go over by 15 minutes or more, please give a reason to the office
Give reasonable notice for planned absences (2 weeks)
Call the office to advise if you are unable to attend a shift on short notice.
