Guidance Curriculum & Resources

The BHS Guidance Department provides lessons and activities for grades 9-12 that align with MyCAP (My Career and Academic Plan). This scope and sequence includes learning objectives for three domains: Personal Social, Career Development Education, and Academic, College and Career Planning. The MyCAP was designed by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, in conjunction with the MA School Counselors Association (MASCA) and reflect a combination of Career Development Education Benchmarks, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Competencies and ASCA (American School Counselors Association) Mindsets and Behaviors.

Counselors utilize a combination of Naviance and Google Classroom to provide resources and lessons that include college and career readiness assessments, activities, surveys, and projects for all students in grades 9-12.
