BetterAge takes your privacy and security seriously. We understand that many individuals are concerned about the risks of sharing their information, and we want to reassure you that your information will not be used except as disclosed to you in advance. Further, we have taken steps to secure your data in our systems. While we may ask for certain information that could personally identify you, we do not ask for sensitive personal information, like government identifiers or financial account information. We ask for your email address for the primary purpose of allowing you to save your report, come back to it later, and track your assessments over time. You may choose on your own to share your report with doctors, staff members or anyone you choose (noting, that if you are given access to our site through a senior center or similar facility, we may share information with that facility, as further described in our Privacy Policy). We may use aggregated data for reporting, where your responses will be combined with other responses. All reports will be de-identified. You will not receive any marketing from third parties as a result of sharing your email address with us.
We ask you for your email address and provide you with a PIN number so that you can log back into your account and save your session data. We ask for your zip code for added security and assurance that you receive back the correct information.
We ask you health and well-being questions in order to provide you with a more accurate and personalized report on how you are doing and how you can improve your health and well-being.
BetterAge will aggregate user responses, meaning combining your responses with others’ responses, to develop reports intended to help your organization advocate for funding and understand your community’s needs. Talk to your organization about their plans for the reports, or, contact BetterAge directly at contact@betterage.net.
You are free to continue with the assessment without sharing our email address. You will be given the option to select “I’d prefer not to provide it” at the start of the service. However, know that without sharing your email, you will be unable to save your progress and view Your Personalized Health and Well-Being report.
Another option is for you to use a separate email address for use of the BetterAge service. Talk to your organization for assistance with setting up a new email address, if needed.
