Elementary Spring Orchestra Concert
THURSDAY, May 16, Students arrive by 5:30pm
BHS Performing Arts Center (PAC)
CONCERT EXPECTATIONS: ***All students must stay for the entire concert (approx. 1 hour).*** Displaying appropriate concert expectations and listening to performances are academic standards we are working on. Students will sit in the audience to watch 5th grade orchestra and band perform. Grown-ups: please talk with your student about being a respectful audience member - focus on the front, not talking, calm body, applause after each song, etc.
WHO: 4th and 5th grade orchestra students (and 5th grade band students)
WHEN: Thursday, May 16. Students arrive by 5:30pm. Concert begins at 6:00pm.
WHERE: Bettendorf High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) (3333 18th Street, Bettendorf). Park in the north parking lot (off of 18th Street, by tennis courts). Students enter through door 4NW (same door used for 4th grade morning rehearsal).
ARRIVE: *Please plan to arrive at the high school by 5:30p.m.* Enter through door 4NW.
WEAR: Wear professional, dressy clothes for the concert so you feel your best. Avoid jeans, tennis shoes, athletic clothing, sweatshirts/sweatpants, clothing with writing on, etc. Any colors/patterns are fine.
AT HOME: Eat, do homework, get dressed, use restroom. Check to make sure you have everything you need. Except for emergencies, there will be no restroom breaks once you arrive at BHS.
BRING: Concert music sheet(s), instrument/bow, needed accessories (sponge/shoulder rest for violins/violas, rock stop for cellos/basses.) Do not bring your music stand. No phones/devices, toys, etc.
ABSENCE: To report an absence due to illness or emergency, fill out an online absence form or contact us. All concerts are required and are part of each student’s orchestra grade. An absence from the concert for any reason will need to be made up with a make-up assignment.

These are the dates/times reserved for performances at this time. Please plan for students to attend all of their respective performances and we will notify you in the unlikely event of any changes. Please contact an orchestra teacher as soon as possible should your student be unable to attend any of the performances using the QR code to the right or the information below.
