Mrs. Grossman is a dedicated educator with 13 years of experience at John F. Kennedy Middle School. She is certified in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) and Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6). She currently teaches Computer Applications 6 and STEM Discovery 6. She provides students with hands-on experiences to be creative, think critically, and problem solve.
Mr. LaSpina has worked as a high school computer science and math teacher at Bethpage Schools for over 25 years. He also serves as the Vice President of the NY Computer Science Teachers Association for the Long Island Region and he works as an instructor at the Institute of Creative Problem Solving at Stony Brook University. Professional interests include front end software development (UI/UX) and robotics programming (Java/Python/Arduino).
Mrs. Tedesco is a dedicated educator with 18 years of experience at John F. Kennedy Middle School. She is certified in Mathematics (Grades 7-12), Computer Science (Grades K-12), and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6). A passionate advocate for STEM, she coaches two hackathon teams and the FIRST Lego League Robotics team, inspiring students to explore technology and innovation. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Tedesco leads professional development courses for Bethpage staff. She currently teaches Computer Applications 6, Computer Programming 7, and Web Design 8, where she fosters creativity and problem-solving skills in her students.
Mr. Zabell has been a teacher in the Bethpage Schools for over 20 years. He is currently teaching Computer Programming 7 and Web Design 8. Throughout his courses, the Computational Thinking Model is used to help students build higher-order thinking and future-proofed skills for evolving classrooms and beyond. His other interests include Computer Aided Design and computer graphics programming.
