Cap and Gown Pickup - Thursday, June 13, 2024

● Caps and gowns will be available for pick up in Gym B on Thursday, June 13 from 10:00am-12:30pm.

● This date is the only available date to pick up caps and gowns.

● In order to promote the traditional ceremonial aspects of our Commencement, it is expected that students will be

appropriately attired.

Commencement Rehearsal - Wednesday, June 26, 2024

● Commencement rehearsal will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 26 in the auditorium at the high school.

● Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory! Any student who expects to participate in the Commencement Ceremony

Thursday evening must attend the Commencement rehearsal Wednesday morning.

Commencement Location - MVP Arena

● Commencement will be held at the MVP Arena. The MVP Arena is air conditioned and handicap accessible.

● The MVP Arena parking garage will be open; there will be no charge for parking in the garage.

● Doors to the arena will not open until 2:00pm. Ceremony will begin at 3:00pm.

● We want to remind all students that as guests of the MVP Arena, we expect and appreciate appropriate behavior.

Commencement Transportation for Students

● Students are expected to arrange for their own transportation to the ceremony.

● We will start to organize the students and place them in line beginning at 2:15 pm. I respectfully urge everyone to

leave enough time to arrive by 2:15 pm. We expect all students to be at the MVP Arena and in line ready to enter the

arena at 2:45 pm.

Programs

● Each graduate will get a paper copy of the Graduation program on their seat at the MVP Arena. There will be programs

to pick up at all entrances into the arena. A QR code will be available to view the program online; the QR code can be

shared with family and friends.

Tickets

● Tickets are not needed for entrance to the MVP Arena.

Handicap Seating

● MVP Arena has ample handicap seating available in designated areas of the arena.

Photographs

● A professional photographer will take pictures of all seniors as they receive their diploma. Proofs will be mailed to

home addresses shortly after the ceremony.

● Guests should not leave their seats to take pictures as this blocks the view of others.

Flowers

● Flowers and gifts will be available to purchase for your graduate from The Commencement Group.

● Flowers and gifts can be purchased ahead of time via this link, Pre-Order Link, and picked up at the ceremony.

● Flowers will also be available to purchase the evening of Commencement.

● A percentage of the proceeds will go to the BCHS Senior Council.

Pranks

● In the past, a few members of the senior class have organized students for pranks or to miss classes. There is always a

concern about students’ loss of time from instruction and students being in any type of dangerous situation.

● Parent and student support for a safe and “prank-free” end of year is greatly appreciated. The Class of 2024 should

want to leave BCHS with a well-deserved, positive legacy.

● Any students caught participating in any prank or any activity disrupting the school will be disciplined and may be

prevented from attending Commencement.

Balloons

● The MVP Arena does not allow balloons, beach balls, or silly string in the arena. Please refrain from bringing these into

the arena as they will be confiscated upon entering the arena.
