PALs is a wonderful 501(c)(3) parent teacher organization and exists to help support the Bethel-Tate Gifted Program. Parents of Advanced Learners sit on the operating board in the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Meetings are held four times a year and typically last about an hour. During that time, classroom updates are provided and often there is a hands on family activity. Parents of students in grades 2- 8 of the STEM Program are encouraged to join PALs annually by completing the membership form and paying the $5 annual membership fee. 

PALs has supported the STEM program in numerous ways throughout the years, including but not limited to: 

• STEM Spirit Wear Sale 

• Needs-based scholarships for students to attend STEM field trips 

• Subsidizing bussing costs for field trips when needed 

• Supplies for 8th grade farewell activities 

• Supplies for Super STEM Days across all grade levels 

• Purchasing of teacher technology including document camera

• Subsidizing the cost of GIS teachers to attend the 2022 National Association for Gifted Children Conference

• Providing snack bags for field trips 

• AND SO MUCH MORE!
