The entire 8th grade team is eager and ready to welcome our students back to school! While we understand this is not the "back to school" many of us envisioned or hoped for, we remain optimistic and inspired about the opportunities to do school better. We find ourselves in a season of unprecedented changes - a pandemic, school building closures, continued racial injustice, economic turmoil, forest fires, and an increasingly heated political climate. There's no shortage of unrest and difficulty in our world. However, in this climate of uncertainty, there is one certainty that we can count on - the Cascade community. We are here BECAUSE of our students and families, and we are here FOR our students and families. We recognize, listen to, and honor each of our community members' lived experience. Your voices, your actions, your ideas, and your futures matter. We will be working hard alongside each of you this year to support your growth academically, socially, and emotionally, and to prepare you for the transition into high school. Most of all, we look forward to working together in order to live our belief that our Cascade community is better together - from near and afar.
