Assistant Superintendent’s office opens the nominations for Teacher of the Year to all staff, students, and families.
Nominations are due.
Building Teacher of the Year nominees are notified by the Building Principal.
Building committee selects Building Teacher of the Year using the Building Rating Scale to anchor the discussion. Building principal will notify the teacher and Assistant Superintendent of their selection. Building principal will send the Building Teacher of the Year nomination form to the Assistant Superintendent’s Office.
Building Teachers of the Year are announced at each building.
Building Teacher of the Year recipients wishing to move forward for the District Teacher of the year will submit the required application materials. All application materials should be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent’s Office.
District committee uses the District Rating Scale to select one District Teacher of the Year. Site visits may be made to the District Teacher of the Year candidates. The Bethel Public Schools Teacher of the Year can apply for the Connecticut Teacher of the Year.
District Teacher of the Year is announced at Convocation.
