Next Generation Science Standards
Enable students to:

• Develop similar scientific and engineering practices as those used by professionals in the field.
What does science look like in Bethel?
Bethel Middle School engages students in a rigorous STEM Curriculum that is aligned to the NGSS Standards and implemented through the 5E Inquiry Instructional Model .
The 5E Inquiry Model puts the student front and center of the learning process, it requires them to be fully engaged in the sense-making process.
Through collective sense making, the students are engaging in and developing their Global Competency Skills as well.
Every step of the way builds upon prior learning and sets them up for future learning.
It is an instructional model that helps students not only learn science but how learning works!
