What is the BMS Treble Choir?
The BMS Treble Choir is a non-auditioned after school ensemble for unchanged treble voices of approximately forty-five singers. This ensemble is open to any student in the school. This ensemble sings a varied repertoire in two and three part treble harmony. The ensemble performs in the Premier Concert in March and the Spring Chorus Concert, amongst other events. The Concert Choir and Treble Choir combine to create a Festival Chorus that also competes annually at a Music in the Parks Festival.
What are the goals of the ensemble?
- To study healthy vocal and ensemble techniques in a choral setting.
- To perform music in a safe learning environment.
- To studied varied and diverse repertoire created specifically for treble choirs.
- Foster an appreciation of choral music.
- Tuesdays after school from 2:45 pm to 3:40 pm in the BMS Chorus room.
- The Treble Choir performs at the Premier Ensembles Concert usually held in March, the Spring Chorus Concert, and the Music in the Parks Lake Compounce Competition Festival in June.
