This year, five students were accepted by recorded audition and participated in the 2021-2022 American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) All-Eastern Junior High School Honors Choir in Boston February 9-12. The following students represented Bethel - one of four school districts in Connecticut that participated - and Bethel Middle School - the only middle school represented from Connecticut. The Eastern Region comprises the Northeast all the way to Washington, D.C. These students demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and passion in their continued pursuit of excellence in their music education. They spent many hours after school preparing their music (independently and with Miss Hannequin) and long rehearsals at the conference creating music with others. The students met with two composers, Dr. Andre Thomas and composer Juan Tony Guzmin, who composed a work specifically for this ensemble, and these students worked alongside college professors and conductors. Furthermore, two students were selected in a featured descant in one of the pieces (represented by an asterisk next to their name). The Bethel Middle School Music Department sends congratulations to:
