This month, BEST Alumni Network has three things to celebrate: our newly elected Executive Board, the successful conclusion of our GA 2021, and our third birthday!

🙋 General Assembly and Board elections
On 29th April, our elections responsible Florian Reinke “ignited” the electionrunner, which revealed Martin Hák as President, Tamara Tirjak as Secretary, Maria Tzedaki as Treasurer. Please join us in congratulating them! :) They will be in charge for two years starting 1st July, after the board’s knowledge transfer.
Also, all the GA proposals have passed, as they have more than 50% of “Yes”. They were all written by our outgoing board, Davide, Jeffrey and Marie, so they deserve a bottle of champagne to conclude their mandate! 🍾
👩👩👦👦 AM and other meetups
On 29th April, we also joined BEST’s GA for a night of meeting with other Alumni and some BEST GA delegates. You can find some screenshots here! We also watched some pictures of past AMs… those that you never have the time to watch again, right? :D
There are other meetings in our calendar, we will move them to 19:45 CEST on the third Thursday of the month. And you don’t need to follow our monthly meeting schedule: you can just join anytime to catch up with others, as the space is open.
🧚 Storytelling Club
The next appointment for our StoryClub is… Register for future meetings to stay up-to-date! Or keep an eye on our socials, where we publish posts, events and… stories ;)
🧑💼 Internships
Welcome to Rea, our newest intern who joined the other two -Miriam and Andreas :) The coding must go on, so Rea is taking care of IT project management and back office management. This team is already making a difference with the automation of membership management and improvement of our online processes!
Keep in mind that, if you want to give us a hand, you can find here some areas where help would be very appreciated. But if you have different ideas, do let us know what you want to implement!
💪 Startup & Training program
Maria Tzedaki volunteered to lead our #project-training_program, and picked Startups as a topic for the first event, which will not be just a simple training, but also the opportunity to share resources, experiences, and a lot more. Stay tuned or put your email address here if you want to receive updates on the event format, date, and all other details, as soon as we are able to reveal them.
