Box Elder Supports Teachers B.E.S.T.

B.E.S.T. provides novice teachers with school, district, and state support for a three-year period. B.E.S.T. educators are expected to participate in all requirements that must be completed within the first three years in Box Elder School District. The goal of the B.E.S.T. program is to encourage provisional teachers to develop successful teaching skills and strategies as described in the Utah Professional Teaching Standards (UPTS link here) with assistance from experienced colleagues.

Domains & Standards

Educators evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in three domains of teaching: The Learner and Learning, Instructional Practice, and Professional Responsibility. There are ten standards within these three domains of teaching.
