(we own this book in our BZ catalog!)
Star Wars Day (aka May the 4th) is here, which means it's time to celebrate that galaxy far, far away! The date was chosen as a play on the catchphrase "May the force be with you" since it sounds a lot like "May the Fourth be with you." Maybe you've seen a few of the movies or read about the life of George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars franchise, in the "Who Is" series. Either way, everyone can mark the occasion with these free Star Wars-themed activities! Start out by finding out what your Star Wars name is then check out how to sound like Chewbacca. Maybe you want to do some coding with BB8, learn how to draw Baby Yoda, or build a mobile space station out of LEGOs today! Complete all of the activities or just a few! Celebrate the 4th with force!
Ms. Townhouse drew modern versions of Princess Leia and Baby Yoda to the ultra cool tune of "Jabba Flow" playing in the background!
To find out your Star Wars name, take the first letter of your first name and the third letter of your last name and match them to the names in the chart, so Ms. Andie Townhouse would be Darth Leia and Ms. Rena Citrin would be Padawan Maul! Share your Star Wars-generated name on our Library padlet here! Hit the pink plus sign to contribute to the discussion!
