Band Program Goals - UPDATES:
It has been a goal to add a full time assistant director position for several years. I am happy to report that we have achieved that goal. We welcome Mr. Clay Beyert as a new faculty member at Ridge. Marching band members will already know Mr. Beyert as he has been on the marching band staff for several years. We are fortunate to have him in district full time! Thank you to all who made this possible!
Continue to increase overall program enrollment. Our goal is to have 45-55 incoming freshmen, a 10th-12th grade ensemble of 50-60 and a wind ensemble of about 50.
Ensure balanced instrumentation in all bands through long range planning and strategic instrument switching.
Increase participation in extracurricular music ensembles (Marching and Jazz Bands) from members of the concert program.
NEW - work on a strategic plan to update the band room facilities to bring our rehearsal space closer to industry standard and to provide the students with the best possible environment for making music.
