The school nurse may only excuse a child from physical education/recess for a period of three consecutive days and may only do so with a note from the parent/guardian stating the reason for the request.
Any excuse beyond 3 consecutive days requires a doctor's note stating the reason and duration of time
the child should be excused.
For the safety of your child and fellow classmates, elementary students with a hard cast/splint/crutches (arm,wrist, finger, foot, leg) may not participate in aforementioned activies
until the cast/splint is removed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you child has a soft brace/splint and the MD ok's them to return to play please have a note that states this.
Please note, when a student is excused from physical education class, he/she is also unable to participate
in recess activities, aftercare recess, intramurals or field day activities.
If permissible, the student will still go outside but they must sit to the side for their safety.
