“Instructional coaches never abandon their role as a teacher. On the contrary, they celebrate teaching by embracing all of the elements of the profession and sharing their learning with others.”

My teaching career began more than 16 years ago in a first grade classroom.  I taught a combination of first and second grade for 9 years. During this time, I was given opportunities to move into leadership roles and help my colleagues in various ways.

After moving to Bernards Township, I worked for the district as a K-5 technology teacher.  In this position, I was also able to direct a lot of my attention towards my colleagues and I found a true love for helping them learn and grow as we integrated technology into their classrooms.

In my role as in instructional coach, my goal is to empower you and support you as you make a critically positive impact on the world.

I have been an educator for 19 years with experience teaching all grades K-12.

I have worked as a teacher of Spanish and Italian at Ridge High School for 13 years and also as an instructional coach for the district since 2015.

My favorite aspect of being an educator is to be able to grow as a learner and as a person on a daily basis by collaborating with my colleagues and students. Being a full time instructional coach gives me the opportunity to foster my love and passion for working and learning with and from others and to share my passion for creating a fun and quality learning environment.

I taught science for 24 years with a focus on using data both in the classroom with students and to drive my instruction.  Teaching in both NJ and AZ, including multiple districts in NJ, before landing in Bernards Township 16 years ago provided me with a plethora of experience in a wide range of settings, all of which I can draw on as an instructional coach.

I love working with adult learners and helping teachers to problem-solve.  As one of the instructional coaches for Bernards Township, my added expertise helps to provide support to all the teachers in the district, across disciplines and grade bands, using data to improve their teaching in targeted, measurable ways.  My masters work was in Instructional Technology,  allowing me to support teachers when choosing how to incorporate technology into their lessons.  Working full time as a coach allows me to focus on these tasks and to expand my own knowledge in these areas and others across the district.  I love working with teachers to have the maximum impact on teaching and learning in their classrooms.
