I have been an educator for 14 years with experience teaching all grades K-12.
I have worked as a teacher of Spanish and Italian at Ridge High School for the past 13 years and also as a part-time instructional coach for the district since 2015.
My favorite aspect of being an educator is to be able to grow as a learner and as a person on a daily basis by collaborating with my colleagues and students. Being a full time instructional coach will give me the opportunity to foster my love and passion for working and learning with and from others and to share my passion for creating a fun and quality learning environment.
My teaching career began more than 13 years ago in a first grade classroom. I taught a combination of first and second grade for 9 years. During this time, I was given opportunities to move into leadership roles and help my colleagues in various ways.
For the past 4 years, I have worked for the district as a K-5 technology teacher. In this position, I was also able to direct a lot of my attention towards my colleagues and I found a true love for helping them learn and grow as we integrated technology into their classrooms.
In this new role as in instructional coach, I can’t wait to expand my coaching from technology to all things education. I hope to empower you, my colleagues, to be the best versions of yourselves inside and outside of your classrooms. My goal is to support you as you make a positive impact on the world.
