This slideshow supports learners in teaching others about discrimination: 

• What is discrimination?

• What is the difference between discrimination and a mean moment?

• How does discrimination impact people? How does it make them feel?

• What can you do to interrupt discrimination?

The counsellor at B.I.S. shared language with teachers on how to interrupt when discrimination happens. We created a child-friendly version of these sentences to be accessible for students of all grades. 

The purpose of the sorting activity is for younger learners to understand the difference between discrimination and a mean moment. 

The examples on Slide 3 need to be printed out and placed into separate envelopes. Students will then work together to sort the statement of what someone might say into an example of Discrimination or an example of a Mean Moment.
