Ohio Direct Admission Program – New Opportunity for the Class of 2027

Berkshire High School (BHS) is participating in the Ohio Direct Admission Program, a new initiative from the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE), designed to simplify the college admissions process for Ohio students in the Class of 2027. If a student meets a college’s requirements, then they will receive an

 offer of admission without even having to apply.

Through this program, participating Ohio colleges and universities can proactively notify eligible BHS students that they meet admissions requirements based on academic information that BHS already maintains, such as grade point average, class rank, and/or standardized test scores. Students who receive a direct admission offer from a college or university still choose whether to pursue that opportunity, submit an application if required, and complete any additional steps for financial aid or specific academic programs.

Participation in the Ohio Direct Admission Program is voluntary. If you would like to learn more about how the program works, including information about the student data to be shared with the ODHE,

If you do not want your student to participate, please complete and return this linked Ohio Direct Admission Program Opt-Out Form by Wednesday, September 16 .

No action needs to be taken for students wishing to participate in the Ohio Direct Admission Program - enrollment in the Ohio Direct Admission Program is automatic for your student unless an opt-out form is received.
