Ohio Direct Admission Program
Ohio Direct Admission Program
Berkshire High School is a participant in Ohio's Direct Admission Program
This is a pilot program starting with the Class of 2027, simplifying and expanding access to college for Ohio students. The Ohio Direct Admission program enables participating colleges and universities to proactively offer admission to eligible students from participating high schools based on data the high school already has, such as grade point average (GPA), class rank, and/or standardized test scores.
If a student meets a college’s requirements, then they will receive an
offer of admission without even having to apply.
Opt-In:
Colleges opt-in to participate and set their own admissions criteria.
Students opt in/out of the program. More information to be communicated soon about this process by BHS.
Matching:
High schools share accurate and timely academic data (i.e. GPA, class rank, and test scores). Student information will be automatically compared to institutional acceptance criteria to determine admissions.
Notification:
Students are notified of admissions decisions through a centralized online portal.
