I apologize for falling off the bandwagon this year with photo updates!  My maternity leave definitely threw a wrench in my plan to consistently share photos with you all.  Below are photos from today!  The kiddos filled their behavior chart last week so they voted to celebrate with snow cones!  Major thank you to Miss Devin for providing all of the supplies! :)

Our first day of school went very smoothly!  We spent much of the day establishing routines and procedures that will last for the rest of the school year.  Additionally, we started getting to know one another better by engaging in some fun community-building activities and discussing some of the super awesome academics that are coming up in second grade!  Most interestingly, we created our very own recipes for "Jitter Juice" to help ease our first day jitters by deciding which ingredients we wanted to mix together to make a yummy cold drink!  Our choices included fruit punch, cranberry juice, apple juice, orange juice, blue gatorade, lime seltzer, and gingerale.  The kiddos were so excited to try their concoctions.  Ask your kiddo what they mixed, and maybe they will want to recreate it at home for you to try!  Enjoy the photos!
