Before we finished up at kura, we began to work in small groups to re-create the classic waiata, 'Aotearoa' by Stan Walker.

In these current times, it is nice to have such an uplifting waiata to sing along to, to keep us going and to remember how awesome we are here in Aotearoa!!

As we are all aware, it is times like these when we need to all come together (figuratively, not literally - we're not allowed!) and unite with positivity, aroha and hope.

So, here's a little 'wero' or challenge for all of our kapa roopu - Film yourself (and any whānau you can wrangle in! Mum, Dad, brother or sister) singing, lip syncing, dancing, using poi, haka, or actions to Aotearoa.

Send in your videos to Whaea Hayley (hnewman@berkley.school.nz) and we will put together a little video of you all giving it heaps! .
