Science Expo 2020

What is Science Expo?

This year, instead of a traditional science fair, 4th and 5th grade students will be putting together a Science Expo. It's mandatory for all 4th and 5th graders to participate.

Students will make a hands-on science experience for younger grade students based on the work they have completed in class.

4th graders will create posters to explain their phenomena. 5th graders will be using adobe spark to create video explanations.

When will it happen?

EXPO will take place during regular science class time. You are invited.

FAQ (All the questions. Right here.)

What if my kid wants to do a traditional science project instead?

By all means do it! It will count as extra credit. Check out Traditional Science Fair and other extra credit opportunities here.

What if my kid is absent that day?

There will be a chance to make it up. Probably at recess.

What if I/the grand parents/the neighbor/family friends want to come and see Science Expo?

You are invited! Please let me know that you're coming! abigailpaske@berkeley.net.

What if my kid doesn't do the EXPO project?

Missing the EXPO project will lower their grade. It's part of science class this year and we are dedicating a number of weeks of class time to making sure everything is tip top perfect. Thanks for your support!
