Art Submission Guidlines

Art Submission Guidelines for The Foundress


  1. All artwork must be original and previously unpublished.

  2. Plagiarism is not permitted. (If you are caught plagiarizing, you will no longer be able to submit to The Foundress.)

  3. Artworks should be titled.

  4. Art can be in color or in black and white

  5. Your submission must include your full name (pseudonyms are allowed, but please indicate clearly if you want to submit under a pseudonym) and the best way to contact you, as well as a little about who you are as an artist and what your art is about.

  6. If you want to submit anonymously, you still must submit the above to the art directing team.

  7. You may submit up to 3 pieces per issue.

  8. We are always open for submissions so you may submit at any time.

  9. Submissions can be unsubmitted by artist’s request.

  10. Art must be submitted as a JPEG.

  11. Do not spam your submissions.

  12. If your artwork depicts anyone’s face you must have their consent before submitting for publication.

Note: We have the right to reject any artwork that is not appropriate for a high school audience. This includes depictions of extreme nudity and violence and supporting and promoting drugs or alcohol and any topic that could be illegal. Hate “speech” will not be tolerated.
