This is the second iteration for a blueprint of what the future space may look like. By Velma Anelo, SVA Architects.
In attendance: Marcos Garcia, Matt Hinckley, Crystal Paschel, Julia Petralgia, Ramona Coates, Patty Coe, Melanie Ford, Ellen McClure
Matt and Marcos will follow up about short-term needs, including electrical, stools, storage, and supporting the after-school program.
We determined that our approach to the activities we'd like to have in the Makerspace is for it to be highly flexible.
We may launch a Makers Club to build enthusiasm, advise the planning team, and participate in making activities.
We set some goals for this school year: To have a 7th grade collaborative math/science project, to support the 6th grade Science Fair Engineering and Egypt/Humanities projects, and to have a major 8th grade project - all of these in the Makerspace.
