Upload a CADS ID list

Navigation

From the Email Overview screen

1. Hover over Subscribers ▾ in the top navigation bar

2. Click Data Extensions in the dropdown menu

Import Into Data Extension

1. Upload File

Use the following settings

• File location: My Computer

• File: click [ Browse ] button and locate the .csv file on your computer

• Delimiter: Comma

• Date format: English (United States)

• Import Type: Add and Update

• Import Options

  • ☑ Skip rows in import with bad data (checked)

  • ☑ Respect double quotes as a text qualifier (can be checked or unchecked)

Click [ Next ] to continue

2. Configure Mapping

If you saved your file with CADS_ID__c as the column header, Map by Header Row should be selected by default. Click [ Next ] to continue

If you used a different header name, e.g. CADS ID (without underscores)...

1. Click Map Manually

2. Click the drop-down menu below Required in the main workspace

3. Select the header from your file, e.g. CADS ID (without underscores)

Click [ Next ] to continue

3. Review & Import

1. Click [ Import ]

2. When the “Import successfully started” message appears, click [ Close ]*

*You will receive a "Data Extension Import Notification" email when the import is complete

Create Filtered Data Extension

1. Click [ Create ] at the top right

2. Select Filtered Data Extension, click [ OK ]

Select a Source

1. Select Contact_Master, click [ OK ]*

*Do not select “CADS ID upload” on this screen. You must use Contact_Master as the source

Create Filter

1. In the left sidebar, scroll down to ▸ Data Relationships. Click to expand

2. Click ▸ CADS ID upload to expand*

3. Drag and drop CADS_ID__c to the main workspace

4. Click the [ is equal to ] drop-down and change it to [ is not empty ]

5. Click [ Save & Build ]

*Depending on the setup for your business unit, there may be several CADS ID upload lists (e.g. CADS ID upload - MarCom). Use the same list as in Part 1, Step 1

Save & Build

1. Enter a Name

2. Enter a Description (optional)

3. Leave External Key blank

4. Select a Location

5. Click [ Save ]
