Create an Email

Navigation

From the Email Overview screen

1. Click Content in the top navigation bar

-OR-

From any screen

1. Hover over the Salesforce cloud logo at the top left

2. Mouse over to Content Builder in the drop-down menu

3. Click Content Builder in the drop-down submenu

1. Click ( + Create ▾ ) at the top right

2. Click Email Message

Create Email

1. Select [Template] from the Create Email drop-down menu

2. Click on a template to select it

3. Click [ Select ] at the bottom right

Define Email Properties

1. Enter a Name, e.g. Berkeley Online Newsletter

2. Enter a Description (optional)

3. Select a Location

   • Change Location popup window

     • Click a destination in the folder tree (it will highlight)

     • Click [ Save ]

4. Add a Campaign Ignore

5. Click [ Next ▸ ] at the top right*

*Your email will now autosave as changes are made. Look for “Last save…” text at the top right.

Add Content

1. Enter a Subject line

   • Click small [ Save ] button

2. Enter a Preheader (optional)

   • Click small [ Save ] button

3. Click any block in the main workspace to edit

   • An edit sidebar will expand from the left

   • Make changes as appropriate

   • Click the gray background to deselect active block -OR- click [ Done Editing ] at the bottom right of the edit sidebar

4. Add additional content by drag and dropping blocks from the left sidebar

   • Rinse and repeat Step 3 & 4 until all of your content has been added

5. Click [ Next ▸ ] at the top right
