Units' master list of contacts in Marketing Cloud (aka Contact Master data extension) is defined by their CADS "constituent view" - a group of records affiliated in some way to each unit. Typically this includes current students, alumni, donors, and "friends of" that unit.
The workflow below details the process to update a unit's constituent view, from initial customer request to task completion by UDAR teams.
- Customer identifies the constituency that is not currently defined as a part of their audience
- Customer submits a CADShelp request to have the new group added to the SQL query that defines their population
- AIM vets the requested additions to make sure it is not outside of the units constituent base
- AIM creates the SQL query and attaches it to the request
- AIM forwards the request to UDAR-IT
- UDAR-IT appends the new SQL query to current script and adds it to the cron job to run nightly
- UDAR-IT updates the comments in the request and closes it
