Multi-particle reactions play a pivotal role in a wide range of phenomena, from understanding and determining the spectrum of quantum chromodynamics to probing rare processes that serve as stringent tests of the Standard Model of particle physics. With this context in mind, the Physics Department at the University of California, Berkeley and the Nuclear Science Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab are jointly hosting a three week program on a broad class of related topics.
This program includes:
a two week summer school for graduate students,
a one week workshop showcasing cutting edge research.
Both of these will be hosted in person in the UC Berkeley campus. For detailed descriptions of the two events, go to the respective tabs above.
The lectures will be hosted in the Physics North Building, which is in the heart of campus, next to the iconic Campanile.
