Chemistry Seminars
The College of Chemistry hosts regular seminars in a wide variety of topics that may interest MSSE students. While these seminars are targeted at Chemistry PhD candidates, they are open to MSSE students. Seminars occur in person on UC Berkeley campus and recordings of these seminars are available upon request. More information about the seminar series can be found on the Chemistry Events webpage. Cal Hacks
A nonprofit organization composed of students passionate about fostering a culture of hacking, entrepreneurship, and social good via the empowerment of technology with a mission to empower others with technology to create solutions to better the world. Cal Hacks hosts an array of in-person and virtual events throughout the year including Hackathon (in-person at Cal, October), hello:world (virtual, April), Hack Month (virtual, October) and hack:now (virtual, April).

Organization Highlight: datagood
DataGood @ Berkeley, est. Fall 2020, is UC Berkeley’s first student-run organization striving to increase the accessibility of data science tools to students on the Berkeley campus and organizations that maximize social impact. "We are a passionate group of individuals conscious about wielding our skills for progress and inciting action."
We aim to foster a strong data science community on campus by advocating data science education and practice through our various committees and internal and external programs.
Students, alumni, faculty, industry professionals, and advisors who seek to bring world-changing data science solutions in fields as diverse as education, climate change, and health care.
