Description
Throughout your time in the MSSE program, you will build or update your Software Portfolio to include MSSE software products. You will build and add to your Software Portfolio in each course, and ultimately submit your Portfolio for review in CHEM 283, the Capstone course. A software portfolio is an extension of your resume used to substantiate your programming, software engineering, and computational sciences expertise in a well-organized manner by:
Highlighting your [Python and C++] programming skills using concrete examples,
Demonstrating knowledge of best software practices (e.g., software documentation and organization),
Demonstrating software development management experience (e.g., your Capstone project)
Demonstrating algorithmic competence (i.e., beyond the knowledge of a particular software package)
Performing code optimization (i.e. code performance analysis, single-core optimization, parallelization, scalability, etc)
