Interview: Teresa Caldeira

On November 6, 2018, Priscila and Giselle interviewed Teresa Caldeira, Chair and Professor of City and Regional Planning, during a class in History of City Planning (CP 200). Professor Teresa Caldeira discussed mechanisms and patterns of segregation in the city of São Paulo, processes of city-building and expansion of citizenship rights, contrasting generations and challenges of inclusion in urban peripheries, the rise of conservative movement in Brazil, and the academic (and political) use of the category "global south".
