MOTIVATION

Time management is crucial for all College Students. Mechanical Floating Clock, powered by a 3.7V LiPo battery and stepper motor, is an innovative timepiece that offers both time display and countdown capabilities. It seamlessly integrates with Wi-Fi, allowing for effortless time adjustments and synchronization.

Compute

Use ESP32-Solo to connect wifi and pull the current time from the internet.
Calculate stepper speed and position control to match real-world time.

Power

Step up power from computer USB to charge a 3.7V LiPo battery.
LiPo battery goes through LDO to power ESP32 when unplugged and steps up to power the motor driver.

Actuation

2BYJ48 5-Pin Stepper Motor.
