UC Immunization Requirement:
To ensure a healthy campus environment, UC Berkeley requires all incoming students to satisfy the TB screening and UC immunization requirements as mandated by the UC Office of the President. The University of California has a COVID-19 vaccine policy requirement as well as TB Immunizations. Students who do not comply with the policy may be subject to a registration hold.

Mandatory Prevention Education for Sexual Violence/Sexual Harassment Training:
At UC Berkeley, we are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming community. Students, faculty, and staff all play a role in supporting a campus environment where all persons are free from sexual violence, assault, and harassment. All UC Berkeley graduate students, including incoming exchange students, are required to complete all parts of the sexual violence/sexual harassment prevention education training as provided by the university. I've included below the available training sessions. Once you complete the training, please send an email to me at thaophan@berkeley.edu and let me know.

Enroll your phone number in the WarnMe System
WarnMe is UC Berkeley’s Alerting and Warning System and how you may hear from the campus about significant emergencies and receive updates until a situation is resolved. By default, every Berkeley email address is automatically enrolled. To also receive WarnMe emergency alerts via SMS/text message, you must register your mobile phone number.
Get Started with Slack: Slack is where students connect. This is also where we’ll share reminders and announcements, so familiarize yourself with channels, threads, and direct messages. Make sure notifications are on so you don’t miss important updates. Also, don't forget to add a phonetic pronunciation or audio recording of your name to your profile. Join Slack, and don’t forget to download Slack to your smartphone and computer.

Any individual entering into an academic or professional relationship with the UC may be permitted to indicate a lived name to be used in the UC system in all settings and situations that do not require a person’s legal name.
An efficient process for current students, faculty, and staff, and for UC alumni and affiliates, to retroactively amend their gender designations and lived names on university-issued documents, including eligible academic documents, and in information systems.
