This year’s theme, Imagining Our New Public Health World, is about highlighting the significance of diverse community narratives and representation in Public Health as well as challenging problematic structural causes of health inequities. Among hearing important admissions information and school resources, you will hear our current students share their public health journeys, how they center their communities in their work and studies, and their aspirations for the future. We hope you join us in this virtual Prospective Student Conference and learn more about Berkeley’s unique programs and public health student leaders.

Letter to Attendees

Dear Prospective Student,

Welcome to our 42nd Annual Fall Prospective Student Conference!

We hope that the events today will offer you a deeper knowledge of the opportunities available to you within the public health profession, and UC Berkeley community. The UC Berkeley School of Public Health is committed to promoting health equity, and training a workforce of leaders who represent the vulnerable populations that our profession seeks to serve. We also believe that those who are historically underrepresented or disadvantaged often do not have access to the same educational and professional opportunities. We work to reduce those barriers, and to build a diverse, capable, and innovative academic community trained to handle the toughest public health challenges we face today.

Thank you so much for joining us! We hope that our conference serves as the beginning of an inspiring and enriching journey into graduate school at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health, and beyond as a member of the greater public health community.

Yours in health for all,
