The DREAM office’s mission is to prioritize diversity, inclusion and belonging at the school of public health through encouraging and supporting students from diverse backgrounds, especially those who have experienced inequities to pursue higher education. Join the DREAM Office Writing Tutor Lauren Dinsmore as we share tips to craft two strong statement essays: The Personal History Statement and the Statement of Purpose. Our goal and vision will be to:

1. Provide writing support for historically underrepresented students applying to graduate school

2. Foster a community space for applicants to explore and express their journeys and goals for graduate study

3. Encourage and empower historically underrepresented students to claim power in their narratives
