I finished my PhD in Linguistics at UC Berkeley in May 2024. Using computational modeling and behavioral experiments, I study the role that abstract social categories, built up through interaction, can play in the perception of spoken language.
My co-advisors were Prof Keith Johnson and the University of Kentucky's Prof Kevin B. McGowan. My work will forever be indebted to the inimitable Dr. Susan Lin.
I'm currently a Future of Higher Education postdoctoral fellow working with Prof Deb Nolan in Berkeley's College of Computing, Data Science, and Society. My work focuses on undergrad research and enrichment experiences.
I use both she/her and they/them pronouns, and most prefer that people do use both!
