*If you find a startup venture outside of the listed participating companies, please make sure they meet program requirements: (1) Be currently affiliated with a UC Berkeley or M.E.T. approved startup accelerator or fund (2) be Pre-Seed, Seed or Series A funded with 3-30 employees and (3) cannot be a current undergraduate student-founded startup from any college or university.
If you are hired by a startup that does not meet all requirements, your participation may be in jeopardy.
Yes - you are welcome to apply to the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program again.
The Entrepreneurial Fellows Program will not fund any current undergraduate student-founded startup from any college or university as they do not meet program requirements:
Be currently affiliated with a UC Berkeley or M.E.T. approved startup accelerator or fund
Pre-Seed, Seed or Series A funded with 3-30 employees
Cannot be a current undergraduate student-founded startup from any college or university
EFP eligible startups are invited to participate in our Virtual Startup Fair on April 6. Eligible startups not in attendance during the Meet & Greet can still participate in the program and the M.E.T. team will circulate company names and internship positions as we get them. Internship position guides will be sent a week before the Meet & Greet. We encourage all students interested in interning with an EFP startup this summer to attend.
All applicants will need to interview with an approved startup partner and receive an internship offer for consideration to participate in the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program.
If you find a startup venture outside of the EFP eligible partners in attendance during the April Meet & Greet and opportunities forwarded to you by the M.E.T. team, it is your responsibility to make sure they meet program requirements:
Be currently affiliated with a UC Berkeley or M.E.T. approved startup accelerator or fund
Pre-Seed, Seed or Series A funded with 3-30 employees
Cannot be a current undergraduate student-founded startup from any college or university
If you are hired by a startup that does not meet all requirements, your participation may be in jeopardy.
Please email the employer with the subject line [COMPANY NAME] April 7 Meet & Greet Follow-up - [student name] with your resume. If interested, the startups will then coordinate a time to interview with you. Once you accept your internship offer, submit your application to the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program: Student Application.
Each participating startup can only accommodate (2) M.E.T. students - we encourage students to maximize their prospect of securing a summer internship by applying/interviewing with at least 5 organizations.
A resume, unofficial transcript, job description, offer letter and contact information for your startup supervisor.
No, all affiliated opportunities will receive grant funds only.
Decisions will be announced on a rolling basis and complete by May 20.
Yes - you may take summer session courses and participate in the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program. Participating in this program may affect your financial aid, please reach out to the financial aid team for support: https://financialaid.berkeley.edu/contact-us/

EFP funds are only provided for the summer. Should you continue your internship you are responsible for negotiating future terms/payment.
