Want to gain experience interning with an early stage startup AND receive a $6,000 grant this summer? Then the M.E.T. Entrepreneurial Fellows Program is for you!
Student requirements:
An enrolled M.E.T. student not already committed to a summer 2022 internship and able to complete a full-time internship (10-12 weeks) between June - August, 2022
Startup requirements:
Currently affiliated with a UC Berkeley or M.E.T. approved startup accelerator or fund
Be pre-seed, seed or series A funded with 3-30 employees
Cannot be a current undergraduate student-founded startup from any college or university
Maximum (2) M.E.T. student interns at each affiliated startup
1. Apply for an internship with one of the participating companies or find your own startup opportunity*
Please email the employer your resume with the subject line [COMPANY NAME] April 6 Meet & Greet Follow-up - [student name]. If interested, the startups will then coordinate a time to interview with you. Once you accept your internship offer, submit your application to the Entrepreneurial Fellows Program: Student Application.
Each participating startup can only accommodate (2) M.E.T. students - we encourage students to maximize their prospect of securing a summer internship by applying/interviewing with at least 5 organizations.
*If you find a startup venture outside of the listed participating companies, please make sure they meet program requirements: (1) Be currently affiliated with a UC Berkeley or M.E.T. approved startup accelerator or fund (2) be Pre-Seed, Seed or Series A funded with 3-30 employees and (3) cannot be a current UC Berkeley undergraduate student-founded startup.
2. Submit your Entrepreneurial Fellows Program application after accepting a role with a startup
You must be signed into your @berkeley email account to access the form. Please do not submit an application until you've been offered an internship.
Application materials include: resume, unofficial transcript, and offer letter. Students must submit the Entrepreneurial Fellows Application by May 6.
3. Wait for a decision notification from the M.E.T. Entrepreneurial Fellows Program Committee
