Preyasi Shah
My name is Preyasi Shah and I am rising senior majoring in Data Science UC Berkeley with a side focus in Entrepreneurship! I am passionate about using technology to make an impact in people's lives and aspire to start my own company one day. For this project, my responsibility was creating the website, and doing the Research and Findings on Violent Victimization by Sexual Orientation of the project narrative section.
Amit Hod
My name is Amit Hod and I am a rising senior majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and minoring in Data Science. I am planning to pursue some career in biotechnology in the regenerative medicine sector. My work in the project was in the data narrative section, specifically about analyzing the relationship between arrest rates and race using Critical Race Theory.
Jianpu Gao
My name ie Jianpu Gao and I am a upcoming forth year student majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and Data Science at UC Berkeley. I mainly work on automation of experiments and biostatistics analysis. I am responsible for the feminist theory in data critique part.
Robert Kang
My name is Robert Kang and I am a rising senior majoring in Data Science. My responsibilities included research of data of the canonical binary gender bias within the criminal justice system. Specifically, I found data on the difference in processing time of legal charges between men and women in India.
Ethan Chen
My name is Ethan Chen, and I'm from Taiwan. It's only my second semester at Berkeley, and I'm majoring in data science. My hobbies are to play sports and do some coding. I'm responsible for the critical racial theory in data Critique.
Joseph Jiwon Joo
I'm a second-year student and UC Berkeley, working towards a major in Data Science and with an emphasis in Computational Methods in Molecular and Genomic Biology. I'm pursuing a career in Bioinformatics, Financial Analysis, or Data Architecture. My role is to work on the data critique specifically analyzing CRT.
Nathan Li
Hey--my name is Nathan Li, and I'm a rising senior majoring in Econ and Data Science. My work in the project was the data critique, specifically, adding to the feminist theory and CRT portions.
Anyi Chomtin
My name is Anyi Chomtin and I am a senior majoring in Data Science and MCB. I am passionate about using my analytical skills to solve problems in the health care industry. For this project, my responsibility was doing the Research and Findings on the Criminal Injustices in the US Based on Race of the project narrative section.
Data Decisions Made By Our Group
We decided to include at least one dataset outside of the U.S to give context into how cultural differences should be taken into account when analyzing data under a Feminist and CRT lens.
