My name is Teresa Elam and I am the new school counselor at Ashland for the 2020-2021 school year! I began my career in mental health as a case manager in 2007, and became a mental health therapist in 2011. I moved into education as a school counselor in 2014. I served as the counselor for Potts Camp School grades 4-12 for five years. Last year I moved to Ripley High School because that is my home. However, I quickly realized I missed being in the small school environment. I am excited to be here working with the students and parents of Ashland this year, and hope to be of assistance to all!
