6th Grade Band
Open to all incoming 6th graders, the beginning band meets every day during Period 3. All junior high band students are also required to attend one weekly lesson.
Junior High Band
7th and 8th graders combine to create the Junior High Band and meet every day during Period 1. All junior high band students are also required to attend one weekly lesson. Junior High Band members are also welcome and encouraged to join our Junior High Jazz Band and Junior High Percussion Ensemble.
Concert Band
All senior high band musicians combine for the Concert Band and meet every day during Period 5. All Concert Band members are required to attend pep band to support our school's athletics. Concert Band members are also welcome and encouraged to join our Senior High Jazz Band and Senior High Percussion Ensemble.
Jazz Band & Percussion Ensemble
Benson has a Junior High Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble open to all 7th and 8th grade musicians, and a Senior High Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble open to all Senior High musicians. Rehearsals meet before school.
