Performed by an independent psychologist and needs to be updated if it is beyond two years old.
It is possible that you may have had a WISC V completed by Benchmark School. However, this is not a complete test battery and would not be sufficient for most school applications or for applying for accommodations for admissions exams like the ISEE.
Receiving schools have been asking for this test more often recently. It is beneficial for your child if accommodations will be needed in high school generally and later for SAT/ACT accommodations for college applications
No need to practice for this test; it is about potential, not about “achievement today”

Please plan to have the complete report by September 30 in order to be sure you have time to apply for ISEE accommodations.
Date: Wednesday, November 9, 2022
Benchmark Test Event Code: FLB7SWRH
Accommodations: Benchmark will provide accommodations approved for a student including extra time (time and a half), use of a calculator, and spell check. We provide limited reader support in that students will be in small groups with a proctor who can read portions of the test as requested by the student.
How To Register for the ISEE
Note: This test will be offered at Benchmark. It is highly suggested students take it at this time.
An achievement test/bubble test (“What do you know today?”)
Most commonly required local independent school admission achievement test
You must request accommodations at least 6 weeks in advance of desired test date. Once approved then registration for a specific test date comes next
Parents register online for this test (www.erblearn.org) and we will send registration instructions early fall. (Click on the "Access the Admission Portal" to find the registration link.)
Please be sure to include Benchmark School as a score recipient when you register.

An achievement test/bubble test
Required by faith-based schools and offered EARLY in the fall. Register at the particular school’s website. To read more about the test go to www.ststesting.com
While it may be possible to get one school to accept the HSPT scores from another, it appears that most want the test taken at their school as there are variations in the test and which aspects of the test are given by a particular school.
Create a parent account here: https://iseeonline.erblearn.org/
NOTE: Do not register for a test date before receiving an accommodations decision by email.
Add your student to the account
Select "Request Accommodations”
You will receive an ISEE Accommodations Request Form at the email address associated with your parent account. Please read the entire form thoroughly and send the form to me (ericmacdonald@benchmarkschool.org) to complete the Current School Statement. Check your spam folder if you do not see this form in your inbox. (I will submit the completed form directly to ERB.)
We offer most available accommodations, including extended time, use of a calculator, and spell check for all approved students.
Important Note: For students who are approved for the reader accommodations, we provide limited support where the proctor, who is in the room with a few other students, can read sections/portions of the test at the student’s request. If you feel your child needs 1:1 reader support, we are unable to provide this assistance. However, we feel most of our students will benefit from taking the test at Benchmark in its familiar environment with familiar staff.
We cannot provide test administration for students who do not apply for accommodations, as we are only able to accommodate students who at least are granted extended time (1.5x).
The email will include a Current School Statement section for your student's current school to complete, sign, and date. Forward this form to Eric MacDonald (ericmacdonald@benchmarkschool.org) and Benchmark will complete that portion and send it back to ERB.
Upload the supporting documentation form (including your child’s most recent psycho-educational testing report) to your student's online account at iseeonline.erblearn.org for formal review. Note: The psycho-educational testing report must be dated within 3 years of the ISEE test administration date.
The formal review/approval process can take up to two weeks once a complete file is received. (In practice, I've found that the turnaround time is more like 24-48 hours.)
Once your student is approved for the requested accommodation(s), you may register for a test online offering the approved accommodation(s) at iseeonline.erblearn.org.
Benchmark Test Event Code: FLB7SWRH (2022 Code)
Please be sure to include Benchmark School as a score recipient when you register. Benchmark's ERB Code: 395517 (NOTE: This is different from the registration site code mentioned above.)
The deadline for registering for the ISEE at Benchmark is October 28, 2022.

Many parents have questions about preparing for these admissions achievement tests. Generally speaking, Benchmark does not encourage families to have students undertake intensive test prep. For many students, this actually increases their anxiety about such tests and students in our 8th grade program already have an intense amount of academic work to balance in addition to their other activities and much needed "downtime." That said, there are advantages to familiarizing students with the test format. ERB is providing free access to some limited test practice resources that include:
An interactive version of ERB’s “What to Expect on the ISEE” guide
Recommended areas for further skill development
Time management feedback
A personalized plan for improvement
These resources may be helpful to your child to work on independently before taking the test. Whether or not you chose to purchase their further options is a family decision, but we strongly encourage you not to put too much emphasis on this test. It is only one part of the admissions process and many Admissions personnel at receiving schools have expressed that it is a small part of what they look at when considering Benchmark students.
ERB has partnered with Test Innovators to provide free and paid ISEE test prep resources. Click here for additional information.
