Jazz Auditions will take place on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2ND

Audition Materials and a Sign up Sheet for Audition times will be placed on the Band bulletin board outside Room 140.

Rehearsals for this ensemble will be 2:45-3:45 on Thursdays. Please be sure you are available at this time prior to your audition.

To Audition:

Please sign up for one time and take a copy of the music.

• Students should prepare "Shufflin' in F" Choruses #1-3 and be prepared to play their concert Bb, Eb and concert F major scales. If a student would also like to improvise over the chords of "Shufflin' in F" they may, but it is not required.

• Students will play their selection with a backing track (Piano and Guitar should be prepared to also play alone.) If you would like a copy of that track to practice with please email Mr. McCready at lmccready@belmontschools.net .

• Students who are not currently in the band program but who play a Rhythm Section Instrument (Piano, Bass, Guitar and Drum Set) are also encouraged to audition!
