Assignment Book

• Parent/Teacher Communication Tool

• Students are required to copy assignments word for word

• Checked daily by the homeroom teacher

• Parent signature required every night

  • AB given for no signature

• No initials or sibling signatures

• Conduct marks are recorded in the assignment book

  • See conduct key/consequences in front of assignment book

Binders

• All graded papers are kept by the students in their binders behind respective tabs.

  • Please do not remove papers throughout the entire nine weeks.

• Blue folders will be sent home with report cards.  Students will remove the correct papers from their binders in class and add them to the folder at the end of each nine weeks.

• Please do not remove papers from the blue folder

  • You and your kiddo should go through the papers & make sure you have no questions about their grades.

  • Return the blue folder with the graded papers and the signed report card to the homeroom teacher.

Make-Up Work

• It is the student’s responsibility to request make-up work for each class

• Parent requests for make-up work should be made through the office by 9:30 a.m.

• The make-up assignments will be available in the office at 3:30

  • If your child is out for one day, they can request the make-up work when they return to school the next day

Grades & Redos

• Minor grades 55% - the 1 - 2 lowest grades will be dropped depending on number of grades taken

• Major grades 45% & can be redone if failed

• 10 points will be taken of each day assignment is late

• Only Major Grades can be Redone

• Redos are regraded and students given a new grade.

  • The highest they can get is a 70.
