WHAT IS THE BISD HYBRID LEARNING PROGRAM?

The Bellville ISD Hybrid Learning Program provides an opportunity for students to enroll in Bellville ISD with increased flexibility for how and when they access learning while still being engrained in the BISD Culture. Specifically, Bellville ISD's Hybrid Learning Program is available to students in grades 7-12. (For the 2026-2027 school year, enrollment is limited to a total of 20 students engaging in a pilot program.)

Students in BISD's Hybrid Learning Program will be assigned to core content classes provided virtually through partnership with an online instructional provider called Edmentum.  Core content classes taken through the Hybrid Learning Program are on-level classes and are not eligible for weighted credit on students' GPA. Students in the Hybrid Learning Program will take the same number of classes as traditional students, (8 each year), and are held to the same academic performance standards for participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. All students enrolled in Bellville ISD's Hybrid Learning Program are required to take a minimum of one course onsite. Specific on-site elective offerings are outlined in the BISD Hybrid Learning Program Guide linked below.  On-site course offerings include participation in athletics, select ag-courses, and fine-arts options.
