Drama Club Receives Grant from Emerson Creek Wind Community Grant Program

Bellevue, OH — The Bellevue City Schools Drama Department is thrilled to announce it has received a generous grant from Apex Clean Energy to support its theater lighting improvement project, a major step toward making the district’s performance space more energy efficient and technologically advanced.

The grant will fund the purchase of new LED spotlights and contribute to the addition of a high-quality projector for the theater. These upgrades will reduce energy consumption, modernize productions, and enhance the overall experience for students and audiences alike.

“This grant from Emerson Creek Wind is helping us take a huge step forward,” said Amy Dendinger, Bellevue Middle School Drama Director. “The new LED spotlights will allow us to create better stage effects while using less energy—something that benefits both our students and the environment.”

High School Drama Director Angela Sommers shared similar enthusiasm, emphasizing how the improvements will expand creative possibilities for future productions. “We strive to become more energy efficient with equipment upgrades so our students can continue to shine,” Sommers said. “We are so fortunate to have been awarded this generous grant to our drama department.!”
